Lost

For months I've walked this city. Probably longer. I can't say for sure. The sun rises and sets on an unusual basis here. It's hard to tell how much time has passed.
The city is alive. It took me a while to notice, but when I'm not paying attention, things change. I nodded off once, and awoke to find myself in my old school. Or at least what appeared to be my old school. But the houses surrounding it were gone, replaced by buildings and empty shops. It was still the same city, just replicating a part of my past. And its done the same countless times, redesigning itself to show me places like my old home, old hangout spots, the houses of former friends, and other such places.
So for at least several months, I've been traveling in this endless, ever-changing city. I'm lost. I can't find anyone else here. If there are others, they're probably just as lost as me.
I've seen bodies though. People who had died here, probably from starvation. I've been living on whatever I could find in mostly empty stores in this city, but it seems others didn't have as much luck. One of the bodies I found, that of a young woman, had been carrying a laptop. The laptop I'm using right now. Maybe if I reach out, I might find a way out of this hell.
I'm growing restless here. I need to get out. Back to the real world. Back there so that Caledfwlch and I can continue our work.
